From the acclaimed Du Bois family vineyards in Stellenbosch comes this certified Single Vineyard Old Vines, bush-vine Chenin Blanc.

The grapes were whole-bunch pressed and settled overnight with just a small addition of S02, with fermentation kicking off spontaneously soon afterwards.

Once dry, the wine was racked off heavy lees followed by maturation on fine lees in stainless steel for approximately 6 months at which point it was transferred to neutral 500L oak barrels until preparation for bottling in December 2024.

The weathered shale soils on which the vines grow are rich in minerals, lending the wine a characteristic saline quality. The delicate aromatics provide subtle floral notes, whilst the palate remains vinous and restrained. The wine has a savoury length and texture that makes it the perfect aperitif, but equally well suited to accompany fresh sushi, freshly shucked oysters or grilled fish.
